Infranode and Lyse buys Norwegian fiber company Altifiber AS
In partnership with Norwegian telecom company Lyse, Infranode strengthens its fiber portfolio by acquiring 49% of the shares in leading Norwegian fiber company Altifiber AS. The remaining 51% of shares will be owned by Lyse, which is increasing its ownership by 17p.p.
With more than 30 000 active customers, Altifiber AS is a leading fiber infrastructure provider offering internet and TV services. The company was established in 2002 and operates in southwestern Norway, catering to both urban and rural populations.

Lyse has been a minority owner in Altifiber AS since 2002, alongside Dalane Energi and eight other minority shareholders, who are now divesting their 65% stake.

Altifiber AS will continue to provide its local customers with leading digital services from Altibox under the new ownership structure.
Since earlier this year, Infranode and Lyse also own Sandefjord Bredbånd together. The acquisition of Altifiber AS marks Infranode’s ninth investment in Norway and fourth in Norwegian fiber.
