Infranode’s portfolio company MPY Telecom and Elisa Oyj form a joint venture to improve fiber network availability in Finland
Digital infrastructure company MPY, wholly owned by Infranode, and Elisa have agreed on a strategic initiative on 31.3.2025 and incorporated a joint venture to increase fiber availability within the coverage of Elisa’s current networks.
The aim of the joint venture is to promote availability of fiber networks and enable consumer and corporate consumers to have secure internet connections provided by trusted Finnish companies.
“The joint venture with Elisa allows MPY to take one step further in providing secure and high-speed fiber networks that benefit local communities. MPY’s approach to answering increasing demand in a responsible manner will contribute to the joint venture’s success. We look forward to supporting them” says Samuli Kivipelto, Investment Manager at Infranode.
MPY’s share of the joint venture is 55%, and Elisa’s 45%. Once the fiber assets have been built, they will be leased to Elisa, who will in turn connect and offer end-user services to its customers.
