Investing in critical national transportation
infrastructure in Sweden
Port of Gävle Concession (Yilport Sweden) operates Sweden’s 3rd largest container port, as well as a large dry bulk terminal for general cargo in Gävle, Sweden. The port is strategically located just north of Stockholm and next to the industrial central Sweden region and handled circa 230,000 TEU in 2018.
The municipality of Gävle (through Gävle Hamn AB) together with Infranode and Yilport through Yilport Sweden are co-investing to meet the increasing demand for container transportations. In 2021, a new container terminal is scheduled to be opened which will increase the capacity to 600,000 TEU.
As a complement to port business, Yilport Sweden also operates several logistics terminals in connection with the port as well as the Stockholm intermodal terminal south of Arlanda airport.
Yilport Sweden is co-owned with Yilport Holding, a global port operator with close to 30 port terminals in its global portfolio.”
