Infranode has signed a transaction to acquire 100% of MPY Telecom

Infranode has signed a transaction to acquire 100% of MPY Telecom, the regional owner and operator of digital core infrastructure in Eastern Finland, from the MPY Cooperative.

This investment aligns with Infranode’s strategy of acquiring essential infrastructure and being a long-term partner to local and regional communities.

• MPY Telecom (the Company) is one of Finland’s largest owner and operator of digital core infrastructure.
• The Company has a strong leading market position regionally with a diversified customer and asset portfolio comprising more than a hundred telecom towers and extensive fiber and coaxial networks in Eastern Finland.
• The Company’s fiber and telecom tower assets are well established, having strong regional foothold.
• The Company’s long-term outlook is supported by strong trends, such as digitalization and increasing criticality of data connectivity and high-quality mobile networks.

Closing of the transaction is subject to acceptance of a general meeting of the seller and authority approval from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in Finland. The transaction is expected to close during the second half of 2023.
